Thanksgiving break has just finished and Winter break is only 3 weeks away. For Lincoln students that means 3 weeks full of fun activities to make the end of the semester and calendar year memorable. ASB is planning a door decorating contest, a foodie fest, and 5 dress up days for spirit week. For spirit week, students dress up according to quirky and fun daily themes showing their creativity and school spirit.
A small number of Lincoln students recently took a survey and chose their top 5 favorite themes that could be used for winter spirit week. At the top of the list for nearly 80% was "Pajama Day," a day for students to wear their comfiest and warmest pjs. Another popular idea for a Winter dress up day is the traditional "Ugly Sweater Day" with over 60% of the students surveyed.
Other popular themes were "Winter Wonderland" where students would wear all white outfits, a "Throwback Day" where students would dress up as if they were in Elementary school again, "Wrapping Paper Day" where students would dress up in a bunch of miss-matched patterns like wrapping paper, and a "Winter Gear Day" where student bundled up in all their winter clothes; sweaters, puffy jackets, beanies, Uggs, etc.
