The 2024 Presidential Election between vice president Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump are set to send modern history into full effect. The two parties went head to head this week, holding debates and rally’s to promote and persuade undecided citizens to vote for them. On September 10th 2024, both presidential candidates exchanged words at the Presidential debate hosted at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. Harris and Trump voiced the concerns of the citizens of America in the debate, going over problems such as inflation, abortion, immigration and foreign policy. Regardless of the two opponents' differences, either one's win will have an effect on everyone and everything. 

Vice president Kamala Harris was under heat recently for not calling out former president Donald Trump for portraying her as weak and insulting her on various occasions. Harris is also getting called out by fellow activists for the lack of defense against Trump's "mass deportation plan" since immigration laws are a big part of Harris' plan. This takes a toll on Kamala's votes because it's mostly Harris' target audience. 

During former president Donald Trump's first term he set a tax cut and job acts program, known as TCJA. The program was formed in 2017, and has now reached its final term and is set to end the following year 2025. This can give Trump a huge advantage due to the drastic inflation increase that has affected most of America recently; a tax increase may occur due to the program ending as well. 

These issues are expected to be hot topics between the two candidates and their different plans for our society today. Although both parties set promising expectations for when in office, the question is how will we know which candidate is better? Who will truly listen and act upon the citizens' concerns and needs? 

The bar is set high in this election due to the public perception of, all eyes are watching. Because this is the first presidential election in which a woman vice president runs for president and former president runs again after impeachment, it is sure to sent precedence.
