2020

• Fortnite Costume - This costume started to trend when quarantine hit and everyone started playing fortnite. And dressed up in costumes with all the skins they had available on Fortnite. 

• Tiger King Costume - Tiger King was a costume everyone was wearing and it became a big thing when the documentary came out on Netflix .

• Karen - Karen was and still is a a very trendy thing but was way more out there in 2020, when Karen’s we’re all over social media .

2021 

• Among Us  - Among Us started trending when some people got bored over quarantine and played Among Us daily, there was different variations of colors so it was a very interesting thing to see when walking around getting candy.

• Squid Game - Squid Game became very popular when it was released on Netflix as a show for people to binge watch. People would either dress up as characters who played which wear track suits or the guards who wore all red 

• Cruella - Cruella was trending more for the women but it was a costume you would see a lot. Especially because Cruella came out which was a Comedy/Crime a bunch a of people loved.

2022

• Stranger Things  - Stranger Things got very popular again when they came out with season 4 and many people loved the characters they started to dress as them. Specifically Eddie Munson or the duo Steve harrington and Maya Hawke 

• Inflatable T-Rex - Inflatable T-Rex was a very trendy costume as well as other inflatable costumes but mostly the T-Rex. As it was seen on social media everyone around that time

• Skeleton Face - In 2022 People started to get into face painting and skeleton face based on the Dia De Los Muertos tradition became a very popular thing most people did for Halloween.

2023

• Barbie - When the new Barbie movie came out it had people in awe but gave people so many ideas on what to wear for Halloween knowing in the movie Barbie she wore multiple outfits. 

• Wednesday Adam’s - Wednesday came out in November last year 2022, So many people didn’t get to dress up as her but it still kept trendy that it was the most popular costume in 2023.

• Betty Boop - Many people brought back a very popular character from the 30s known as Betty Boop. And lots of women loved that idea and brought back other characters frim the past but Betty Boop was the most trending one

2024

• Leopard- As seen all over social media people are coming back with face painting but are doing leopard print all over their face and upper body. 

• The Lorax - The Lorax is very trending on social media, mostly on Tik Tok. It mainly started by people trying to be funny and dress up as the Lorax for spirit week but many people are now planning to carry it on to Halloween. 

• Roxanne and Max - Roxanne and Max is a costume that most couples are doing thing year because A Goofy Movie started to get popular again on social media especially Tik Tok.
